Suggestions
This is the place that you can suggest any ideas you have for the group for things to do in and around the Starkville area. You can give a general suggestion, like a favorite restaurant or park, or you can provide a more specific suggestion that includes a date, location, time and link to more info. Once a suggestion is made, if it seems like there would be some interest, I'll post it as an individual post so we can get some details out there, put it on the calendar, and allow RSVPs, but this will be the spot you can submit your ideas so we can keep them in a general location so I can easily find them to post to the group.

What about us all getting together soon to hike around the lake Cindy mentioned...I think it was in Ackerman??

ReplyDeleteJoy is kind of stuck in Philadelphia for a while with a family situation, but she'd like to hang out with us. She and I were wondering if anyone would be up for going to the Mexican restaurant near her on Sunday? It's called Ole Mexican. So if you can't make it to lunch on Saturday, maybe some of us can get together on Sunday. Just post if you're interested.

DeleteI had a reallly fun day hiking around Choctaw Lake. I hate that you weren't able to make it Jamie. Cindy and I discussed maybe searching for other recreation areas to explore. There's this website that focuses on Corps of Engineers sites, but I'm betting that many of them have good trails. http://www.recreation.gov/ Choctaw Lake is in the results when you search in MS.

I still really would like to check out Choctaw. Before it gets TOO cold, I could host some friends at my house, I have one of those little firepits, and we could do smores and hot chocolate or something.
ReplyDeleteI would be interested in visiting jackson, or any other parks. I don't think I'm much into civil war stuff. I did post a bunch of stuff on the calendar, so you can look through that and see what else is coming up. I still like the idea of meeting at the coffee shop and playing board games or something fun.
There's a christmas show coming up at the Starkville Community Theater (dec 11-14) and also a noxubee guided tour coming up the same weekend... anyone up for either of those?
